Position: Chief Accountant │Location: Kisbér, Hungary
About the Position: Chief Accountant
The chief accountant is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the financial activities of the company. This includes recording and tracking transactions, ensuring compliance with tax obligations, and preparing financial reports and statements. Additionally, the chief accountant leads audits and ensures adherence to financial regulations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of monthly and annual financial closing
- Verification of the accuracy of financial data and reports
- Accruals of costs and revenues to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Preparation of asset and financial statements (balance sheet, income statement)
- Support during audits and inspections, provision of financial data and responses
- General ledger accounting and reconciliation with sub-ledgers (AP, AR, inventory, fixed assets)
- Managing and reviewing standard and actual costing calculations in SAP
Candidate profile
- University degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS principles and end-to-end accounting processes
- At least 5 years of experience in a related accounting field
- Proven experience in leading financial audits and liaising with external auditors
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical with attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably SAP
- Ability to organize, prioritize and structure tasks
